History
Fox's Pizza Den is a pizza and sandwich chain based in
Murrysville, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1971 by Jim
Fox. The venture proved so successful that Jim opened his 2
and 3 stores in the Pittsburgh area in 1973. Today, Fox's
Pizza Den currently has more than 300 franchised stores in
over 30 states across America.
In recent years Fox's Pizza Den has consistently ranked
among the Top 25 pizza chains in the world and is currently
ranked 12th.
-Fox's Pizza Den was named "Best Pizza Franchise in
American" in 2007.
-The Small Business Administration named Jim Fox as one of
the country's top entrepreneurs during National Small
Business Week in 2002.
Using only the best ingredients Fox's Pizza serves an
authentic, hand tossed, Italian pizza, with an award winning
sauce and 100% REAL cheese. The specialty hoagies are
original Pennsylvania sandwiches on real hoagie rolls making
them one of the most satisfying and best bargains going.
Fox's sauce is from an old Italian family recipe handed down
from the old country. Only the best and purest ingredients
go into this sauce. Which means there are no starches, no
fillers. Fox's sauce contains extra virgin olive oil,
Pecorino Romano cheese and San Marzano style tomatoes
harvested at peak ripeness and crushed within hours of being
harvested.
Fox's is proud of their sauce and the fact that it has won 7
Gold Medals from the Monde World Selection committee in
Paris 1979, in Vienna 1980, Amsterdam 1980, Rome 1995,
Lisbon 1996 and Brussels 1997. This sauce is all natural
making Fox's motto, "If Mother nature doesn't produce it,
Fox's won't use it.
Fox's Pizza Den Franchises were originally designed with the
one store owner/operator in mind, but has evolved over the
years into a franchise system that will benefit the
multi-unit franchisee as well.
A Fox's Pizza franchise offers more freedom to the
franchisee than most other more structured franchises. If
you are an entrepreneur type person who functions better in
a less structured environment, then a Fox's franchise may be
just the right one for you.
Fox's Pizza Den, Inc., offers more freedom to the franchisee
than almost any other franchise. You may decide if you want
a smaller pick-up and delivery operation, or one with carry
out, delivery and limited dine in, or a complete
Pizza/Italian restaurant. The choice is yours. You may
decide to locate in a small, rural community or in the
suburbs, or in a city, the choice is yours. Fox's will
assist you with picking a location and help you with the
steps you should follow to open. Fox's will lay out your
kitchen for efficiency and to save on build out cost, but
you may decorate your lobby or dine in area in any theme you
like. In other words you are free to match your store to
your community. You may offer our basic menu or our expanded
menu, and you may even add items that compliment your local
community. Remember, Fox's franchise business system is
designed for the self-starter or entrepreneur who needs
guidance and training, and can follow directions. It is not
for a person requiring a very detailed, rigid, and
structured franchise system. We have stores as small as 900
square feet up to stores over 4,000 square feet.
The Franchise Fees, Training Fees and Site Fee only total
$18,000. The monthly Royalty payment is just $300 a month
and NOT a percent of your sales. It is a system designed to
put money in your pocket. You work it, so you earn it, Fox's
merely provides you with the product, guidance and
directions to get there.
